Book Review: Catching Feelings by Maren Moore ⚾

Synopsis

I accidentally hooked up with the guy I despise. A mistake I’d love to forget…except now he’s my new roommate.
Reese Landry is Orleans University’s arrogant, All-Star catcher. And I’m the one girl he can’t seem to catch. If anything, it only makes him want me more.

He’s disgustingly rich, stupidly charming, and everyone loves him.
Except me.

But then life throws me the ultimate curveball: He’s my new temporary roomie. I thought it was going to be easy, keeping him at a distance. Turns out, I was wrong.

He’s nothing like the cocky, rich playboy that I thought he was. I told myself one more time wouldn’t hurt. We promised to keep things casual, no strings attached. But soon lines blur, and he somehow becomes my only safe space to land.

And now, we’re catching feelings.

Catching Feelings is book 2 in the Orleans University series and can be read as a complete standalone.

My Review

PHEW. Where do I begin?! When Catching Feelings caught my eye on Instagram, my trusty reader’s gut told me I would eat this up AND I WAS RIGHT!! This was my first baseball romance series, and Miss Maren Moore did not play around when she wrote this team of characters.

I loved that Catching Feelings had some heavier themes than Homerun Proposal, the first standalone in this interconnected series, had. As a girl that’s always found it difficult to ask friends for help I found Viv to be extremely relatable. On the flipside, my love language is gift-giving so I felt connected to Reese’s tendencies to help Viv in any way he could as she struggled balancing taking care of her mother and her mental health issues and her coursework.

If you enjoy confident, athletic, girl-obsessed male leads that would do anything for their girl (before she’s officially his), alt girls that love a good ghost story, steamy shower scenes and a happily ever after, checkout Catching Feelings and the other Orleans University books from Maren Moore! I’ve already placed book 3, Walkoff Wedding on my wishlist upon it’s release next spring.

*I received a free advanced readers copy (ARC) of this book from the author, Maren and Valentine PR. My review is my own and reflects my honest opinion about this book. 💜
