Happy Monday besties!!
While January has been absolutely crazy so far, I’m happy to report I’ve been reading everyday of this month! Here’s what I’ve currently got on deck:
🌙 Crescent City 1: House of Earth and Blood, Sarah J Maas
I’m diving back into Lunathion in anticipation of CC3, House of Flame and Shadow, which releases on January 30th. Since I’ve only read these books upon release, I definitely need to brush up on my SJM lore - I can’t believe it’s already been almost 4 years since we were introduced to Sarah’s first urban fantasy world!!
🔱 The Lightning Thief, Rick Riordan
With all of the media surrounding the Disney+ series, I’ve been itching to get back to Camp Half Blood and re-read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I’m not sure how much further I’ll continue with the original five books this year, but I know this will be a fun, easy refresher in-between my heavier reads.
🌼 Daisy Haites, Jessa Hastings
When I tell y’all I absolutely DEVOURED Magnolia Parks last summer!! Even though I’ve been working on this second installment since *cough cough July cough* I’m really enjoying the pivot to Magnolia & BJ-adjacent characters Daisy and Christian.
🏰 Wuthering Heights, Emily Bronte
My Twitter book club pick of the month! This Chiltern Classics edition has been sitting pretty on my shelf for too long, I think she’s been begging for this attention from me! I feel like WH has a fairly divisive rating - people either tend to love it or despise it. If you’ve read it, let me know how you liked it in the comments!
